Brad Smith has over 20 years of experience in a wide variety of geospatial, surveying, and environmental applications at the Federal, State, and local levels. He is currently responsible for geospatial and remote sensing field design and analysis, strategic department planning, and general oversight of ACT’s Survey department. He is also responsible for the preparation of business plans and strategies, proposals, budgets, scheduling, staff development, and management of relationships at the local, state, and federal level with project stakeholders.
Brad currently holds Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree(s) in Biology and Environmental Science from Stockton University, along with a Postbaccalaureate Certificate in Geographic Information Science (GIS) from Pennsylvania State University.
Brad has considerable field experience conducting nearshore bathymetry surveys, hydrographic surveys, habitat suitability analyses, LiDAR, and photogrammetry using UAS technologies. Additionally, he also has expertise in survey resolution and Geographic Information System (GIS); with applied experience in boundary surveys, topographic surveys, bathymetric surveys, title surveys, and construction layout. Brad has interacted and coordinated with clients from inception to completion on many projects of considerable difficulty and complexity.
Away from work Brad enjoys spending time with his growing family, traveling, hiking, reading, working with his hands, and soaking up some sun on the nearest beach.
